Adams’ Home: Ready for Halloween

Decorating your home for the holidays is a tradition across America — here in Central Utah more so than many other places, including for Halloween.

And in Richfield, one of the most decorated homes of all (especially at Halloween) is usually the Adams Family home! Their beautiful victorian home — originally built in 1889, with several additions — is always striking. But when it’s home to dozens of lighted, moving, frightening creatures it’s even more so! Their holiday decorating tradition orignally began with a daycare center they owned, and when they closed it, decided to decorate their home (and make sure they always had trick-or-treaters!). Be sure to stop by the Adams Family home this Halloween, located at the corner of 200 West 300 South in Richfield. Happy Halloween!

Richfield Folk Victorian

Richfield was first settled in 1864. The first home was a dugout – basically, a hole in the ground. Only 37 years later, in 1901, this home was built. Built of brick with local, hand-carved sandstone accents, this is one of many such “Folk Victorian” homes found throughout Richfield. Not many are as well kept as this one!
